For many of us, February 14th means love, comprehension and being with loved ones to share experiences under the roof of friendship, and the love we have for each other. For many others, St. Valentine's Day represents an opportunity to let the person you love the most that there is no room in your heart for anyone else and they prove their point with expensive meals, flowers, chocolates, greeting card and other gestures with a materialistic slant.
For us, St. Valentine's day is a total farse.
A celebration conmmemorating the utopic vision of how fragile human relations can be here in our world, every February 14th is a reminder of how gullible human perception is when it's looking for acceptance. Interpretations of the holiday are highly subjectives and with many different viewpoints, but it is easy to conclude that every person that feels alone feels the sting of the holiday, and those who aren't feel they have to validate themselves every year; this is all a product of the marketing powerhouse that created the current incarnation of the holiday.
For those who see the truth behind the consummerism. For those who don't need a specific day to express their love for another. Those who do not need things or others in order to be happy. for those who don't fall into Hallmark's trap. For those who see the farse within this holiday, we have created this movement; express your disagreement and rebel against a society that lets itself be duped by what they say is in fashion and lets itself be led by what's material.
